If you’re looking for a stunning destination in Japan that goes beyond the usual spots like Tokyo, Nara, or Kyoto, this tour is perfect for you. You’ll visit the revered Ise Shrine, a site of deep spiritual significance in Japan. This sacred place is dedicated to Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess and the highest deity in Japanese mythology.
Your journey continues to Mikimoto Pearl Island, renowned worldwide for its exquisite cultured pearls. Here, you’ll witness the fascinating process of creating cultured pearls and enjoy shopping. You’ll also witness a live demonstration by Ama, the female divers, who have collected seafood from the ocean’s depths. Speaking of seafood, this region is famous for its fresh, mouthwatering delicacies—so if you’re a seafood lover, you’re in for a treat!
During the tour, your guide will tell you about the history of Japan, Japanese 2 major religions; Shinto and Buddhism and more. The tour is conducted in the comfort of a private car, with your guide personally driving you to each destination.
Itinerary
- Meeting point : Iseshi Station (You can reach the station by Kintesu line or JR line.) at 9:40 A.M.
- If you stay at a hotel near the station or Toba area, pick-up service is available for free.
Take Kintetsu Limited Express train from Kyoto station at 7:02AM or Osaka-Uehonmachi station at 7:45AM. Both trains arrive at Iseshi station at 9:33AM.
- Futami Okitama Shrine
- Please enjoy viewing the famous Meoto-iwa, couple rocks. The guide will explain Japanese Shinto.
- Ise Shrine Naiku
- Please feel a sacred atmosphere in Naiku of Ise Shrine. Your guide will explain what makes this shrine one of the most sacred area in Japan.
- Oharai Street
- Lunch at Oharaimachi street. There are a lot of restaurants, souvenir shops, sweet shops, etc.
- Mt. Asakuma Hilltop View Point
- Please enjoy the view from the observation deck of Mt. Asakuma.
- Mikimoto Perl Island
- A pearl museum shows you how to make cultured pearls. Please enjoy demonstration by Ama, female divers who collect sea foods. You can also enjoy shopping authentic Mikimoto pearls at a shop.
- Back to Meeting point at 5 P.M.
